The Town of Fort Myers Beach maintains 26 public beach accesses on Estero Island, including Newton Beach Park and Seven Seas Cottage. These are marked and easily accessed from Estero Boulevard, the only thoroughfare through the Island. Many of the accesses also have public parking, and 24 of them are ADA accessible either by mobi mat or ramp.
The Lee County Parks and Recreation Department maintains Bowditch Point Park, Crescent Beach Park, Lynn Hall Pier and Memorial Park, and Matanzas Pass Preserve, which are in the Town of Fort Myers Beach.
The Beaches of Fort Myers and Sanibel is an additional resource for beach information.

Dogs are permitted on Fort Myers Beach!
This is a great privilege that you can help us maintain by keeping your dog on a leash, picking up after them, bagging their waste, and disposing of it in the trash cans located at each beach access. Please do not let your pet chase birds (it disturbs their natural migration and nesting instincts) or allow them to enter the critical wildlife area on the south end of the island.
