The Town has a unique and visible way to honor loved ones through its Memorial Bench Program. The names of the deceased and a special saying can be put on a stationary bench in a public area. 

Here's how it works:

• Town staff will order the bench and install it after receiving an application and payment.  

• The cost of the bench is $565 and includes installation. The inscription cost is $4 per letter. 

• Fill out the application online. 

• Purchasing a bench is considered a donation to the Town. 

• The Town does not have a responsibility to replace benches but will pay for the replacement of those destroyed by Hurricane Ian. 

• Town staff will have discretion in final location but every effort will be made to accommodate the customer's preferred location. 

• Installation times vary depending on demand and delivery times. 

• Town staff will take pictures of benches for customers who do not live in FMB and email them the picture once installed.
