Below, you will find the list of tier one streets and the dates they will begin work with an estimated finished date. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Town Hall at (239) 765 – 0202 and someone will be available to assist. Please note that each street may not be getting the same work done.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a public hearing for the US 41 (SR 45) at Bonita Beach Road Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study at the intersection of US 41 and Bonita Beach Road This study evaluates potential capacity and safety improvements, as well as multi-modal features to address congestion and meet future demand. Additional components under consideration include crosswalks with a pedestrian hybrid beacon, a new transit stop, and 12-foot wide shared-use paths at all intersection approaches. This hearing is being conducted to present the preferred alternative and all analysis to date, as well as to give interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. OPERATION Spring into Safety - SW Florida’s Largest Touch-A-Truck EventApril 13, 2024 9 am – NoonAt Hertz Arena: 11000 Everblades Parkway, Estero, FLJoin the Lee County Sheriff’s Office & Florida Department of Transportation, District One, for a free touch-a-truck public safety event. On display will be more than 50 local and state law enforcement vehicles, fire trucks, ambulance, heavy construction equipment, helicopter and much more. Come out to explore and learn about the massive equipment used to build roads and bridges or to respond to emergencies and meet the men and women who operate the vehicles and equipment. The event is free and is for kids of all ages.

Only manual bikes can share the sidewalks and beach with pedestrians.Per Ordinance 22-04, Electric Bikes, Scooters, Skateboards are prohibited on any public sidewalk, path, or beach. Electric bikes can ONLY be used on the road in the bike lane, not on the beach or sidewalks.
