LEE COUNTY PIER

FMB Pier before and after Ian

The Town gets a lot of questions about the rebuild of the pier that is attached to Times Square. The pier is owned and operated by Lee County. Here’s a description of current status provided by the Lee County Communications Office.

The Lee Board of County Commissioners is committed to rebuilding the Fort Myers Beach Pier. FEMA has greenlighted reimbursement for the replacement of the pier. Next, the county will get the replacement designed. With permitting and then construction, the project is anticipated to take about four years.
