Hickory Boulevard is currently CLOSED.
Bonita Springs Fire District has confirmed that there is a gas leak on Hickory Boulevard due to machinery removing sand from a private driveway. Bonita Fire and LCSO are coordinating with South Florida Gas to resolve the issue. The road is currently closed to traffic and will remain closed for the next 2 to 3 hours until the issue is resolved.
If you need to enter or leave Fort Myers Beach, you must use the Matanzas Pass Bridge until Hickory Boulevard is re-opened.
