With Hurricane Milton quickly approaching, the Town of Fort Myers Beach has Town Updates regarding operations post storm. According to the National Hurricane Center, a large area of destructive storm surge is expected. 

Things to know: 

  • The Town of Fort Myers Beach has made the decision to close Town Hall on Friday, October 11, 2024. Essential personnel will be on Island for clean-up and other immediate needs. 
  • Access to the Island may be limited initially after the storm. Please stay updated through the Town of Fort Myers Beach CodeRed, NewsFlash, and Facebook
  • If you are an Estero Island resident and do not have a Hurricane Re-entry Pass, you will be able to get one after Hurricane Milton has passed. Staff will be located in the Target Parking lot beginning at 7:00am on Thursday, October 10, 2024. This is subject to change, weather permitting. 
    1. Target Address: 15880 San Carlos Blvd Ste 101, Fort Myers, FL 33908 
  • If you are a contractor actively working on an open Town of Fort Myers Beach Permit, you will be able to get a Contractor Hurricane Re-entry Pass. Staff will be located in the Target Parking lot beginning at 7:00am on Thursday, October 10, 2024. This is subject to change, weather permitting. 
    1. Target Address: 15880 San Carlos Blvd Ste 101, Fort Myers, FL 33908 
    2. What you will need in order to get a pass:
      • Contractor License Number
      • Owners name
      • Address on permit
