Bay Oaks is currently undergoing phase two of the redevelopment plan. The concrete and dirt you see behind the Town Hall Trailers, adjacent to the Bay Oaks Recreation Center, is part of the plan!
The concrete will be crushed and along with the dirt used as fill for the new softball field, as the area needs to be raised about three feet to prevent future flooding. Our staff take precautions daily to keep the children clear of the debris and we have created a new entrance for the hauler trucks to enter on the opposite side of Bay Oaks Park. Safety is our number one priority, which is why a fence will be installed soon near the playground to prevent anyone from getting too close.
