The Estero Island North Berm Project is wrapping up this week. The last tons of the 53,000-ton sand project will be placed around the pier to help restore lateral access along the beach. Areas of the beach will be closed off in and around the pier for equipment access to construct the sand berm. The public is asked to use Times Square and Lynn Hall Park to walk around the construction.
This particular project will restore lateral access around the pier and will be reinforced by the 1M cubic yard renourishment project commencing later this summer.
